A Florida developer on Wednesday announced plans for a 740-acre mixed-use development including single-family and multifamily residential offerings, a hotel, retail and restaurant sites, and recreation amenities. The development, called Wildhaven, is from An Ki Land Development of Sarasota, Florida.
Key takeaway (Courtesy | An Ki Land Development) Wildhaven will include approximately 150 high-end homes, up to 500 multifamily units, a 120-bed hotel, two restaurants, a spa and commercial buildings.
Why this matters in The Fort Worth
While the Wildhaven development is slated for Denton, its impact will be felt across the North Texas region, including Fort Worth . The project's emphasis on environmental stewardship and outdoor recreation could set a new standard for large-scale developments in the area. As Tarrant County and neighboring districts continue to grow, it's likely that similar projects will be proposed, and the success of Wildhaven could influence the direction of future development. The fact that a Florida-based developer is investing in the region also speaks to the desirability of North Texas as a place to live and work. With the Fort Worth Stockyards and Sundance Square already drawing visitors from across the region, a development like Wildhaven could further enhance the area's reputation as a hub for entertainment, hospitality, and outdoor recreation. As the project moves forward, it will be worth watching how it affects the local economy and infrastructure.
