District leaders have announced a change in plans for Bonnie Brae Elementary. Students who transferred from a closed school will still receive hands-on learning as promised. However, the entire school will not adopt an applied learning curriculum as previously planned.

This curriculum teaches core lessons through real-world applications. Students from the now-closed Riverside Applied Learning Center will continue their specialized lessons. Other students at Bonnie Brae will follow a new instructional model.

Further details about the change are available, including comments from Superintendent Peter Licata at a recent listening session.
