John William Sprott, a 96-year-old U.S. Army veteran, passed away on September 8, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara June Sprott, with whom he shared 74 years of marriage.
Sprott was born on December 21, 1929, to John and Katie Sprott. He had a distinguished military career, serving as an Artillery Battery Commander and earning the rank of 1st Lieutenant, as well as the National Defense Service Medal. Sprott also had a successful career in mortgage and later managed his farm.
