Tarrant County commissioners have delayed a vote on polling sites for the upcoming November election. The decision came after the county elections administrator proposed a reduction in the number of polling sites. The proposed cuts would have reduced Election Day sites by 45% and early voting sites from 50 to 42.

Commissioners expressed discomfort with the extent of the reductions. A final decision on polling sites is now expected at the commissioners' September 1 meeting, as they chose to postpone the vote rather than revise the proposed locations during their recent meeting.
