A conversation group in Fort Worth brings together medical students and community members to practice language skills. The group, Charlar Con Cafecito, aims to improve Spanish and English proficiency. It was recently attended by about two dozen participants at Casa Azul Coffee in the Northside area.

The group's purpose is rooted in the challenges faced by those with limited English proficiency when seeking medical care. A personal experience with language barriers in healthcare motivated one participant to get involved. Further details about Charlar Con Cafecito and its organizers are available from the Fort Worth Report.
